Four Words for Your Business: I Can Do That!

Just a few weeks ago, ASEA Presidential Diamond Deni Robinson spoke at a worldwide broadcast of the annual Go Pro network marketing event. Her topic: duplication. Below are highlights of the message she shared.

Cracking the Code

The most successful people in our profession are people who can get a lot of people to do a few key things consistently. Network marketing is about a lot of people doing a little bit consistently, month after month. That’s duplication, and it’s what cracks the code on long-term success.

Everything I do, I keep in mind duplication. With duplication, your new distributors can get started right. With duplication, you don’t have to control every single action of your downline. With duplication, you will achieve your goals.

There is only so much you can sell personally. There are only so many people you can enroll personally. But building a team of people who sell and consume our products, and then increasing the productivity of that team is where the leverage starts to happen.

Finding What Duplicates

It doesn’t matter what works; it only matters what duplicates!

It is a real problem when people fall in love with what works for them, and they forget about creating a system inside their organization that can work for anyone. You may be great, but if your prospect feels in any way that they can’t or don’t want to do what you are doing, guess what—they won’t!

When you bring new people into your business, you need to teach them what you do, and they need to be able to do it. If your strategy consists of fancy things like talking to government officials or members of huge corporations, your new associates are not going to be able to duplicate it.

I believe the four most powerful words that will ever come out of someone’s mouth are: “I can do that!”’

There is no duplication until someone says those four words.

Leading from the Front

Whatever you are doing in your business, remember your team is watching your activities. Whether you do the right things or wrong things, your team copies. Whatever you want your team to do, first you have to do it.

Ask yourself, “Is what I’m doing every day something that every single person in my organization can also do every day?” If it’s not, then you need to change your strategy.

The best thing to do is to set up a simple system that duplicates easily. Keep your strategy around accessible tools, keep it around stories, and keep it around simple systems. Always lead by example, and keep it simple.

Be the leader others are looking for to create duplication. The speed of the leader determines the speed of the pack.
